Cinematography throughout is superb, soaring angular depictions of concrete and glass give the gut level scenarios even more weight. All 22 episodes of the first full season are here along with a well-produced, two-part documentary that outlines in detail how the series came about. (There were two Cagney & Lacey TV movies and a six episode series with other actresses inhabiting Sharon Gless's role that came before this series - they are not included.)
