Park: The Cult of Cartman - Revelations
Oh joy - they've taken my very favorite South Park episodes with new introductions and a clever interface encased in a cool biblically inspired package. This is an amazingly funny collection, 12 episodes culled from different seasons that highlight the horrifying hijinx of everyone's favorite sociopathic fourth grader. My all time favorite South Park - Scott Tenorman Must Die - sends Cartman on an epic mission of revenge after buying an 9th grader's pubic hairs; in Cartmanland, the pudding pilot inherits a million bucks and buys his own amusement park just to keep everyone else out; and a trip to Pioneer Village pits the psycho brat against hard core historical recreationists and terrorists in a mad sendup of those Die Hard movies. In Eek A Penis!, Garrison has a meltdown over his sex change operation so he/she grows a penis on a mouse while Cartman teaches inner city teens to cheat and lie their way to success. Cartman gets HIV and injects his blood into Kyle, disguises himself as a robot to torment Butters, leads a revolt of ginger kids after demonizing them, and pretends to be handicapped in order to win the Special Olympics. Every episode a gem! These morality bending scenarios are wielded like a blunt weapon, if you don't feel personally insulted or aggrieved at some point then you don't belong to the human race. This is in-your-face, biting satire that strikes the bullseye every time; unapologetically insulting, deliberately confrontational. These episodes are all uncensored, many for the first time. It is kind of weird at first to hear the characters spouting "shit" and "fuck" but it's so much better than those annoying bleeps. South Park: The Cult of Cartman is laugh out loud funny from start to finish; if you have a friend you want to turn on to South Park, this is the DVD collection to spring on them. Disc 1:
